Rada (en ruso Рада) l'è on nome ruso[1][2] e slavo da femena, tradot dal antico slavo come alegra.
Rada deriva da ła fórma scurzada del ajetivo «радостный», radostnyy (ruso meridional — радый, radyy), o sia felixe, contento.
El xe anca conossìo inte ła łéngua połaca (Rada), bùlgara (Рада[3], e da mas-cio: Рад), serbo-croata (Рада / Rada) e biełorusa (Рада).
