Inte el 2005 el xe trasferio inte i Stati Uniti d'America par garegiar inte el canpionato Champ Car co la squadra Rocketsports Racing, par poi tornar inte el 2006 in Eoropa inte ła serie GP2, prima co la scuderia BCN Competicion e sucesivamente co la iSport International (dove ga sostituio el fransese Gommendy). Ga finio la stagion de GP2 al 4° posto.
Inte ła stagion 2007 ga continuà in GP2 co la iSport faxendo anca el seondo colaudador par la BMW Sauber de Formula 1. Ga vinto la so prima gara in GP2 inte ła gara "sprint" sul sircuito di Catalogna el 13 de majo 2007. Ga vinto el canpionato GP2 piloti inte el 30 setenbre 2007. Par el 2008 xe stà ingagià dala Toyota e el corerà co l'esperto Jarno Trulli.
