Choranthias là một chi cá biển thuộc họ Anthiadidae. Chi này được lập bởi William D. Anderson và Phillip C. Heemstra vào năm 2012.[2]
Từ nguyên
Tên gọi của chi là sự kết hợp giữa khôros (χῶρος; "khoảng trống") và Anthias, tên gọi của một chi khác trong họ Anthiadidae, hàm ý đề cập đến đường bên bị gián đoạn ở loài điển hình.[3]
