Dendrelaphis là một chi rắn thuộc họ Rắn nước, phân bố tại Pakistan, Ấn Độ, miền nam Trung Quốc tới Indonesia, Đông Timor, Philippines, Úc, New Guinea và quần đảo Solomon. Có hơn 40 loài đã được mô tả.

Một cuộc khảo cứu gần đây hơn về các loài Dendrelaphis tại Úc-Papua[1] cho thấy D. solomonis là danh pháp đồng nghĩa của D. calligaster, nâng D. keiensis lên cấp loài, tái phân loại D. lineolatus từ một phân loài D. calligaster lên cấp loài, nâng cấp D. macrops và D. striolatus từ những phân loài của D. punctulatus.
