Lepidoperca là một chi cá biển thuộc họ Anthiadidae. Chi này được lập bởi Charles Tate Regan vào năm 1914.
Từ nguyên
Tên gọi của chi được ghép từ lepĭ́s (λεπίς trong tiếng Hy Lạp cổ đại nghĩa là "vảy") và perca, trong trường hợp này có lẽ là từ viết tắt của chi Caesioperca, do loài điển hình được mô tả là gần giống với C. coatsii ở thời điểm đó nhưng có vảy lớn hơn.[2]

Phân bố
Ngoại trừ L. coatsii được tìm thấy ở hai đại dương (phía nam của cả Đại Tây Dương và Ấn Độ Dương), 9 loài còn lại có phân bố ở Nam Thái Bình Dương, và chỉ được tìm thấy ở Úc hoặc New Zealand.[4]
