Medeterella là một chi ruồi thuộc họ Dolichopodidae. Chi này gồm 9 loài từng được xếp vào chi Medetera (thuộc nhóm loài M. salomonis). Các loài trong chi được ghi nhận tại các vùng sinh thái Châu Phi nhiệt đới, Đông Dương và Australasia.[1] Theo Naglis và Bickel (2012), việc tách nhóm loài này ra để thành lập một chi riêng biệt là chưa đủ cơ sở thuyết phục.[2]
