Microchrysotus là một chi ruồi thuộc họ Dolichopodidae, được ghi nhận tại México.[1] Chi này nằm trong nhóm "micro-dolichopodids"—một tập hợp chưa chính thức gồm các chi ruồi ở Tân Thế giới với chiều dài cơ thể chỉ từ 1 mm trở xuống. Ban đầu, Microchrysotus được xếp vào phân họ Medeterinae, tuy nhiên vị trí phân loại phân họ của chi này hiện vẫn chưa được xác định chắc chắn.[2]
