Micromedetera là một chi ruồi thuộc họ Dolichopodidae, được ghi nhận tại vùng Caribe và Panamá.[1] Chi này xếp vào nhóm "micro-dolichopodids"—một tập hợp chưa chính thức gồm các chi ruồi ở Tân Thế giới có chiều dài cơ thể chỉ từ 1 mm trở xuống. Ban đầu, Micromedetera được xếp vào phân họ Medeterinae, song vị trí phân loại phân họ của chi này hiện vẫn chưa được xác định chắc chắn.[2]
