Prosystenus là một chi ruồi chân dài đã tuyệt chủng thuộc họ Dolichopodidae, có niên đại từ thế Eocen giữa tại đảo Sakhalin thuộc Viễn Đông Nga. Chi này thuộc dạng đơn loài, chỉ bao gồm duy nhất loài Prosystenus zherichini được mô tả từ mẫu hóa thạch trong hổ phách Sakhalin. Đây là đại diện cổ nhất được xác nhận của họ Dolichopodidae theo nghĩa hẹp (không bao gồm hai phân họ Microphorinae và Parathalassiinae).[2]
