Jalur Merah (Red Line) di angkutan cepat Delhi merupakan jalur angkutan cepat pertama yang dibangun di Delhi, India. Konstruksi jalur ini dimulai pada 1 Oktober 1998 dan pertama kali dibuka pada tanggal 25 Desember 2002. Jalur ini berjarak 25,15 kilometer dengan jumlah 21 stasiun dan dioperasikan oleh Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Pada peta sistem Metro, jalur ini berwarna merah.

Sejarah

25 Desember 2002: Bagian pertama Jalur Merah dibuka antara Shahdara dan Tis Hazari (8,3 kilometer (5,2 mi), 6 stasiun).
3 Oktober 2003: Jalur tersebut diperpanjang dari Tis Hazari hingga Inderlok (4,1 kilometer (2,5 mi), 4 stasiun).
31 Maret 2004: Perpanjangan dilakukan lagi dari Inderlok hingga Rithala (8,9 kilometer (5,5 mi), 8 stasiun).
4 Juni 2008: Jalur ini diperpanjang dari Shahdara hingga Dilshad Garden (3,1 kilometer (1,9 mi), 3 stasiun).

Pembangunan ekstensi

Perpanjangan dari Rithala ke Barwala (6,1 km), awalnya direncanakan untuk Tahap 1, telah pindah ke Tahap 3 dengan selesai pada tahun 2015. Proyek Tahap 3 juga meliputi perpanjangan ke arah timur dengan 9,5 km dari Dilshad Garden ke Ghaziabad ISBT.
