Oncotheca adalah genus pohon yang endemik di Kaledonia Baru. Terdapat dua spesies,[3][4] yaitu Oncotheca balansae dan Oncotheca humboldtiana.
Oncotheca adalah satu-satunya genus dari Oncothecaceae, yang merupakan salah satu dari tiga famili tumbuhan berbunga yang endemik di Kaledonia Baru. Penempatannya telah lama menjadi teka-teki, tetapi analisis filogenetik terbaru[5] yang didasarkan pada 73 gen plastid menemukan bahwa genus ini berkerabat dekat (sister) dengan Icacinaceae. Sekarang, genus ini ditempatkan dalam ordo Icacinales.[6][7]
