Allen Newell
Allen Newell (19. mart 1927 – 19. juli 1992) bio je istraživač u oblasti računarskih nauka i kognitivne psihologije u korporaciji RAND i u računarskoj školi Univerziteta Carnegie Mellon, poslovnoj školi Tepper i na odjeljenju za psihologiju. Doprinosio je Jeziku za obradu informacija (1956) i dva najranija programa AI, Mašini logičke teorije (1956) i Općem rješavanju problema (1957) (s Herbertom A. Simonom). Dobitnik je ACM-ove nagrade AM Turing s Herbertom A. Simonom 1975. za njihov osnovni doprinos umjetnoj inteligenciji i psihologiji ljudske spoznaje.[1][2]
