IBM PC
IBM PC je skaćenica za IBM Personal Computer,[1] koje je trenutno standardni računar u svijetu. Za IBM PC računare vrijede sljedeće karakteristike:
- Intel ili Intel kompatibilni mikroprocesor u porodici x86
- sličnost u matičnim pločama, i emuliranje osnovnih BIOS rutina
- MS-DOS ili Windows operativni sistem
Prvi IBM PC računar izbacila je američka kompanija IBM 1980., i zbog svoje otvorene arhitekture pokrenuo je cijelu industriju kompatibilnih mašina, i zbog svoje dostupnosti je jedna od najraširenijih računarskih arhitektura do sada.
