Ima Sabitri
Ima Sabitri is a 2016 Manipuri documentary film directed by Bobo Khuraijam and produced by Gurumayum Ranita and Khuraijam Ibeton under the banner of Masek Mangal Film.[1][2] It was the opening film in the non-feature section of the Indian Panorama at the 47th International Film Festival of India 2016.[3][4] Ima Sabitri was the opening film (non-feature) at the Festival of Cinemas of Manipur 2022, a 15-day long multi-lingual film festival organised by MSFDS in April 2022.[5][6][7] SynopsisAn observational documentary film, shot over a period of three years, it explores inspirations behind a vibrant theatre group. Mother Guru of the group – Sabitri, whom everyone addressed as mother, who is a teacher, a partner, a daughter, a woman, weaves a range of events, on and off the stage.
