Amorritak[1] amorreoak, amoritak (sumerieraz: 𒈥𒌅 MAR.TU; akaderaz: Tidnum edo Amurrūm; egiptoeraz: Amar; hebreeraz: אמורי, ʼĔmōrī) Kanaanen (Hasiera 10:6, 16 ) jatorria zuen herri nomada baten kideak izan ziren. Borrokalari sutsuak izan ziren eta K.a. XXI. mendean Siria, Kanaan eta Eufratesko mendebaldean zegoen eskualdea okupatu zuten, bitan Babilonia bera hartuz. Hamurabi erregearen arbasoak amorritak zirela uste dute[2]. Akadierazko eta sumerierazko testuetan Amurru hitza agertzen denean, herriari berari edo bere jainko nagusiari buruz ari ziren.
