Bubastis
Bubastis[1] (antzinako grezieraz: Βούβαστις, Boubastis edo Βούβαστος, Boubastos; egiptoeraz, Pi-Bastit «Basteten hiria»; hebreeraz, Pibeseth; egun Tell Basta) Behe Egiptoko antzinako hiria zen, Bastet jainkosaren omenez eraikia. Egiptoko hiriburu izan zen, Tebasen ordez, XIX. dinastiaren garaian (K.a. 1314 - K.a. 1200); Une gorena Xexonk I.aren erreinaldia izan zen (K.a. 950). Persiarrek suntsitu zuten K.a. 352. urtean. 1887-1889 urteetan egindako indusketek agerian utzi zuten Herodotok aipaturiko tenplu handia (K.a. 4.000 inguruan eraikia). Tenplu horretan egiten ziren Basteten ohorezko ospakizunak.
