Hemikriptofitoa Christen C. Raunkjaer daniar botanikariak 1904an proposatu zuen sailkapeneko landare mota bat da, urte-sasoi txarrean aireko atala galdu eta lur azalean zati iraunkorra mantentzen duena[1].
Izena
Hemikriptofito izenak "erdi ezkutaturiko landarea" esan nahi du, grezieraz ἡμι erdia, κρυπτός, izkutatua eta φυτόν landarea baitira.
Landareen ezaugarriak
Landare iraunkorrak dira, gutxienez bi urte irauten dutenak. Agerian dauden atalak hil egiten dira negua iristerakoan, baina lur azpian, azaletik gertu, gelditzen dira kimuak eta errizomak. Lurreko humusak edo orbelak estaltzen ditu.
