Strandloper
Strandloper-rak Afrikako hego-mendebaldeko hondartzetan ehiza eta janaria biltzeaz bizi den khoikhoi jatorriko talde bat da. Jatorriz Lurmutur Koloniatik Eskeletoen Kostara doan tartean aritzen ziren.
Historia
Strandloperren existentziaren froga arkeologiko diren maskortegiak daude: oskol, zeramika, balea eta itsas txakur hezurrak, errautsa eta ikatza. Aztarna zaharrenak duela 2.300 urte inguru datatu dira.[1]
Komunitate gehienek ez zuten iraun Hego eta Hego-Mendebaldeko Afrikan XIX. eta XX. mendeetan gertatu ziren aldaketa demografiko eta ekonomikoen aurrean, eta asimilatuak izan ziren.[2]
Gaur egunean
Auzo-herrietatik bereizita jarraitzen duten strandloper bakarrak Namib hegoaldeko Topnaar tribukoak dira. 2005ean 500 kide inguru ziren, Namibia erdialdeko Kuiseb ibaiaren inguruan 12 asentamendutan banatuak.[3]
Etimologia
Strandloper izena strand ("hondartza") eta loper ("ibiltaria") hitz afrikaansen konposaketa da.[4] Jatorriz termino lokala bazen ere, arkeologoen eraginez haren esanahia harea-arakatzean eta itsas dietan oinarritutako biziraupen-ekonomia duten kostaldeko komunitate gehiago izendatzeko zabaldu da.[5]
Hegoafrikako apartheid garaian, hegoafrikar zuri hondartzazale batzuek terminoa apropos erabiltzen hasi ziren bere buruak izendatzeko, gobernuaren arraza politikak salatuz eta bertako jatorrizko herriekiko elkartasuna erakutsiz.[6]
