Ni per l'apertenéncia istorica aus comtes de Comenge, la comuna es a plaçar dens Lengadòc, pr'amor de la fondacion de la bastida per pariatge entre lo senescau de Tolosa e l'abat de Combalonga [5].
En l'istòria, la parròquia de Rimont dependèt dels estats del Lengadòc.[1]
