Amphithalassius là một chi ruồi thuộc họ Dolichopodidae. Chúng phân bố chủ yếu dọc theo các bờ biển cát ở Nam Phi.[1] Chi này bao gồm hai loài đã được mô tả chính thức, cùng với ba loài chưa được định danh (hiện chỉ mới ghi nhận được qua các cá thể cái). Amphithalassius có quan hệ họ hàng gần gũi với chi Plesiothalassius.[2]
