Corindia là một chi ruồi thuộc họ Dolichopodidae. Chi này phân bố chủ yếu ở các giới Cựu nhiệt đới và Australasia. Ngoài ra, có một loài duy nhất được ghi nhận ở giới Cổ Bắc và một loài chưa được mô tả ở giới Tân nhiệt đới. Chi này được mô tả lần đầu vào năm 1986 bởi Daniel J. Bickel. Ban đầu, ông xếp chúng là nhóm chị em với chi Thrypticus. Tuy nhiên sau đó, Bickel lại cho rằng Corindia có thể là một nhóm cận ngành mang các đặc điểm tổ tiên, đóng vai trò là nguồn gốc phát sinh ra chi Thrypticus.[2]
Tại Úc, những cá thể ruồi trưởng thành thuộc chi này thường xuất hiện trên những cây bạch đàn vỏ nhẵn và có tư thế đậu tương tự như chi Medetera. Tên của chi được đặt theo Corindi, một địa danh có nguồn gốc từ thổ dân ở vùng bờ biển phía bắc bang New South Wales.[1]
