Leie
De Leie (Nederlands: Leie, Frans: Lys) is een rivier in Belhië en Frankriek. De Leie behunt in 't noor'n van Frankriek, in Lisbourg, en lopt dan nae Belhië en komt bie Gent uut in de Schelde. Van Ermentiers toet an Meênde vurmt de Leie over 24 kilometer de grens tuss'n België en Frankriek. De Leiestreke is nu voora toeristisch, mae vroeher was de rivier economisch vreêd belangriek. Tot in de jaeren '60 wier d'r vee vlas 'ekweêkt langs de rivier, omdat d'r vee kalk en iesder in zit.
