Heparanase
Heparanase (bahasa Inggris: Human HPA endoglycosidase heparanase, endo-beta(1-4)-D-glucuronidase, heparan sulfate N-sulfo-D-glucosamine endoglucanase, HPSE, HPA, EC 3.2.1.166) adalah enzim yang mendegradasi molekul heparan sulfat pada rantai samping polisakarida.[1]
Pada studi baru-baru ini, ditemukan peningkatan ekspresi HPA pada glomerulus yang disertai albuminuria dan degradasi heparan sulfat pada lapisan endotelium renal yang disebut membran dasar glomerular.[2] Aktivitas HPA juga tampak di dalam urin dengan plasma protein yang tinggi.
