Modulator receptora
Modulator receptora ili receptorski ligand, je općii termin za supstancu, endogenu ili egzogenu, koja se vezuje za i regulira aktivnost hemijskih receptora. To su ligandi koji mogu djelovati na različite dijelove receptora i regulirati aktivnost u pozitivnom, negativnom ili neutralnom smjeru, s različitim stupnjevima efikasnosti. Kategorije ovih modulatora uključuju:
- receptorski agonist i
- receptorski antagonist, kao i receptore
- djelomični agonist,
- inverzni agonisti,
- ortosterni modulatori i
- alosterični modulatori,[1] Primjeri modulatora receptora u modernoj nauci uključuju CFTR modulatore,[2] selektivne modulatore androgenih receptora (SARM) i modulatore muskarinskih ACh receptora.
