The systematic name of this enzyme class is ATP:D-tagatose 6-phosphotransferase. Other names in common use include tagatose 6-phosphate kinase (phosphorylating), D-tagatose 6-phosphate kinase, and tagatose-6-phosphate kinase. This enzyme participates in galactose metabolism.
