Agente berdea Vietnamgo gerran Ranch Hand operazioaren barruan Estatu Batuek erabilitako ortzadar herbizida hosto-galtzaileetako bat da. Agente berdea azido 2,4,5-triklorofenoxiazetikoaren n-butil esterra da[1][2].
Azido 2,4,5-triklorofenoxiazetikoaren sintesia tenperatu altuan egiten zen eta horrek albo-produktu gisa 2,3,7,8-tetraklorodibentzo-p-dioxina eratzea ekarri zuen, poluitzaile organiko iraunkorra eta dioxinarik kaltegarriena[2].
Izena biltegiratzeko erabiltzen ziren 55 galoiko (208 litroko) upeletan margotutako banda berdetik datorkio, erraz identifikatzeko aukera emanez.
Erabilera
Hego Vietnamen agente berdearen bidezko ihinztadura 1961ean eta 1962an egin zen. Ez dago daturik zenbat litro barreiatu ziren jakiteko. Agente arrosarekin batera aplikatu zen usu[3][4].
