Pipobroman (tên thương mại Vercite, Vercyte) là một loại thuốc chống ung thư mà có lẽ đóng vai trò như một tác nhân alkyl hóa.[1] Nó được bán ở Pháp và Ý.[2]
Cơ chế tác dụng
Là dẫn xuất brom của piperazine, có cấu trúc tương tự tác nhân alkyl hóa.[3]
Cơ chế chính xác chưa hoàn toàn rõ, nhưng được cho là:[3]
- Alkyl hóa DNA → gây rối loạn tổng hợp DNA → dẫn đến chết tế bào
- Hoặc ức chế DNA và RNA polymerase, giảm gắn nucleotide pyrimidine vào DNA
Kết quả: ức chế tăng sinh tế bào máu bất thường trong các rối loạn tăng sinh tủy[3]
