Localisacion
Lo gvoko es parlat dins lo vilatge de Ngoshi, que los abitants apèlan Gvoko. La particularita del vilatge es d'èsser traversat per la frontièra internacionala del Nigèria e del Cameron. Çò que fa que la lenga es parlada dins la zòna de govèrn local de Gwoza, dins l'estat nigerian de Borno e dins lo departament de Mayo-Tsanaga, qu'es restacat a la region cameronesa de l'Extrèm-Nòrd. Pas qu'un milièr de Gvoko vivon en Cameron[1].

Lo gvoko es una lenga chadica classada per Gravina (2014) dins la branca nòrd del biu-mandara, ont fa partida del grop mandara[2].
