ชาวเคิร์ด (เคิร์ด: کورد ,Kurd) เป็นกลุ่มชนอิหร่าน^[28][29][30] ที่อาศัยอยู่ในภูมิภาคบนภูเขาของเคอร์ดิสถานในเอเชียตะวันตก ซึ่งกินพื้นที่ทางตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของตุรกี, ทางตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือของอิหร่าน, ทางเหนือของอิรัก และทางเหนือของซีเรีย^[31] โดยมีดินแดนส่วนแยกของชาวเคิร์ดในอานาโตเลียกลาง, โฆรอซอน และคอเคซัส เช่นเดียวกันกับสังคมชาวเคิร์ดพลัดถิ่นในเมืองทางตะวันตกของตุรกี (โดยเฉพาะอิสตันบูล) และยุโรปตะวันตก (โดยเฉพาะในประเทศเยอรมนี) ประชากรชาวเคิร์ดมีประมาณ 30 ถึง 45 ล้านคน^[2][32]
